The animation won the 1st prize in the animation competition at the international Assembly'2002 multimediafestival which was held on 1.-4. August 2002 at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki city, Finland. Project Kerosene was also seen at the Animatricks animation festival held at Helsinki on the 1.-3. of November 2002.

The animation was presented aswell at the international Tampere Film Festival 2003. The festival was held for the 34th time during 5.-9. of March 2003. Project Kerosene was shown on the 8th of March at the Niagara theater in Tampere city. It competed in the festival's Micromovies -serie and of its 10 000 € grand prize. A day before the festival started Project Kerosene was featured on a newspaper article in Aamulehti (section B, page 24) with a picture and brief information. An almost identical article of that can be found in finnish language at the Tampere Film Festival's news publication.

Project Kerosene was also seen at Clone Digital Film Festival held in Hämeenlinna city on the 10th of May 2003. The animation took part in the "open series" competition. My video "World War II memoirs" had won the "Internet movie" (Ebenholz) -serie in the previous year at the same event.

Project Kerosene will also take part in a mobile pilot project by Pixoff and TeliaSonera, organized in 1.1.2004 - 31.5.2004.
