World War II memoirs
'World War II memoirs' was my solo-project and the very first attempt to combine music with strong visual elements. The video could be described as something of a short document which displays the horrors of war with intense music.
The video was my primary work for the international Assembly'2001 multimediafestival's competitions. It won the 2nd prize in the Wild Demo competition at the event which was held on 2.-5. August 2001 at Hartwall Arena in Helsinki city, Finland.
World War II memoirs was also presented at the Clone Digital Film Festival held in Hämeenlinna city on the 13th of April 2002. It won the 1st prize in the festival's "Internet movie" (Ebenholz) -serie.
The video was seen aswell at the international Tampere Film Festival in year 2003. The festival was held for the 34th time during 5.-9. of March 2003. World War II memoirs was shown on the 8th of March at the Niagara theater in Tampere city. It competed in the festival's Micromovies -serie and of its 10 000 € grand prize.
I also made a special miniDV -tape version of the video for a finnish AntiRacism video competition called "Samaa maata - 2005".
